In some ways I'm not a very good country girl. I cannot ride a horse. I cannot milk a cow. Quite frankly I'm slightly afraid of horses and cows. They are so very big.
Then there are the bugs. They really bug me. I don't mean just mosquitos and other bloodsuckers, but also beetles, bees, ants and such. I don't like the idea them crawling all over me. Too much imagination, maybe.
At the same I find bugs intriguing. As I'm repulsed seeing a close-up of an insects eye or something, I may also be oddly fascinated by it. And in most cases I feel bad about killing bugs. Unless they bite me.
Bugs are marvelous. From a distance, preferably.
