TDOP: Almost a poet

Apr 17, 2011 · 1 min read

I like writing. Feels like the words come easy for me, words and sentences. Sentences and paragraphs. I can hear them in my head and often it feels like the words, sentences and paragraphs are floating out of me. I learned to read and write way before I went to school. My sisters taught me. I used to dream about being a writer. Sometimes I still dream about it. Writing this blog is perhaps a way for me to be one. In a way.

Writing feels easier for me than saying the things. I'm comfortable with a pen and a paper, or since I was thirteen and got my first computer, with the keyboard. Much more comfortable than with maybe a mic and giving a speech.

Sometimes I write poems, but none has came to me in a while. I don't think I can force it. I'm more fluent with fiction than facts and when I was younger I used to dislike writing factual texts. Now I'm not so unhappy about it and I can even enjoy writing something non-fictional, as long as I truly know the facts.
